bulletWhat is required to host an Indy Karting Series (IKS) event? The first thing to do is secure a site, parking lots make great temporary race sites. IKS events can be held on city streets, company parking lots, public school parking lots, city parks or other paved areas.
bulletHow much manpower is required from your organization? Very little on race day, IKS requires one contact person with decision making powers. Pre-Race requires a little more.
bulletHow much can my club or organization make on an IKS event? This varies by the type of program your group wishes to do. Most organizations can make $2000.00 and up.
bulletWhen are IKS events held? IKS events are held on Saturdays and Sundays - April thru October.
bulletWhat are some of the IKS value added services? We offer our rental fleet to your organization for corporate challenges and celebrity races. It has been our experience that a good corporate challenge will raise more money than the race fee percentage ( see our IKS Corporate Link ). T-Shirt sales and marketing personnel are other IKS value added services.
bulletWhat happens if it rains? IKS events run rain or shine.
bulletDo I charge the general public to watch? No, IKS encourages the public to come out and watch.
bulletHow dangerous is karting? Like any sport, risk exists. IKS has a great safety track record. IKS takes great care in laying out the race circuit to provide a safe environment for both the racer and spectator.
bulletWhat is used for protection and track design? In most cases, straw is used to line out the track and provide protection for the racer. Your organization is responsible for acquiring, placement, and the removal of the straw. IKS can arrange for you to rent plastic barriers if straw is not available.

The Indy Karting Series has worked with service organizations like the Lions Clubs, and Rotary Clubs, Athletic boosters from large and small school systems, Cities and towns like Clinton, Lebanon, Linton and Mooresville Indiana, Park Boards, Charities like the Diabetes Youth Foundation and Kids Racing For Kids.
bulletCan a representative of IKS call on your group? Yes, IKS will be happy to meet with you and your group at any time, e-mail us at Kevin@indykartingseries.com to arrange a meeting.
