The Series

The Indy Karting Series is a traveling race series. IKS allows a two race drop. In some instants disqualifications are not eligible to be dropped see WKA for explanation . Associates that take the green flag in the class they have declared, at the start of the race, at all events will receive 5 additional points in the class they declared. You must compete in half of the races to be eligible for a year end award. IKS will award a minimum of three race day awards and three year end awards in each class. The following organizations have not sanctioned IKS to use their names or published technical documents: WKA, or Pro-Kart Challange(SKUSA), no infringement upon any copyright is intended or should be inferred.

IKS has the right to end any race that has a red flag issued if more than half the laps have been run. All restarts are single-file based on the last fully completed lap with exception of a first lap incident where a full restart occurs based on the original lineup. Protest of a race must be done within 10 minutes of its completion. Protest of competitors equipment must be accompanied by $100.00 (refundable only if equipment does not pass tech). IKS has the right to confiscate, destroy, or mark any equipment found to be non-compliant. All protest forms are available at the scales. IKS has the right to refuse an entrant a refund, if a refund is issued, all operating fees will be removed from the refund. 

Competition Age

IKS has the right to amend the competition age. A waiver can be issued by IKS to allow a competition age adjustment.

Transponders

We encourage all IKS associates to own an AMB 160 Transponder. If you need to rent a transponder; IKS will rent transponders for $15.00 per day. A drivers license or credit card may be used as a deposit. Lost or damaged transponders must be purchased at $285.00 before your deposit is returned.

Lapping

IKS will allow lapped karts to remain on the track provided they do not impose a safety issue. All karts that are being lapped will receive the move over flag. Failure to adhere to the move over flag will result in a black flag.

Should the race track safely allow more than 34 competitors, those competitors all receive 1 point. IKS has the right to amend or change this system. All disqualifications are awarded 0 points. Points are non-transferable. Points are only awarded to IKS associates. Points accrue from the declared date on your associate form. Year end ties are decided in the following manner, 1)most first place finishes, 2) most second place finishes, 3)most third place finishes, so on and so forth, if a tie were to exist after this, a coin toss will decide the final order. IKS points system is based on a 2 race drop not including perfect attendance.

Combination of Classes

IKS may elect to combine classes together due to low turn out.

Check Policy

All returned checks will be charged a $25.00 NSF fee. IKS may suspend you while this matter is corrected. IKS has the right to remove points received in connection with the check. DO NOT ISSUE US A BAD CHECK.
